Temple Israel

Introduction to Our Services

Prayer services at Temple Israel are along Conservative lines, and participation in worship is egalitarian. Newcomers and visitors are welcome at either service.

Services are held on Friday evenings at 6:00 pm and on Saturday mornings at 9:00 am, unless otherwise noted in the bulletin or on the calendar. Services on the fourth Friday of each month start at 8:00 pm.

Our monthly "Musical Shabbat" is held the first Friday of each month, and is ideal for families and young adults.

One of the pluses of attending services at Temple Israel is that, because we are a small congregation, almost everyone who attends can get an aliyah, an honor, or the opportunity to do an English reading.

Would you like to read in English or Hebrew at a Friday night or Saturday morning service? Have an aliyah? Open the Ark? Lift or wrap the Torah? Chant the kiddush on Friday night?

Please let the Rabbi know. We are eager to broaden our base of participation.
